You may remember this family from their maternity session a few months ago, meet their newest member sweet little Aubrey! Aubrey was so cute and gave me the best expressions. Once she fell asleep she was just out and I was able to get all the shots I needed, love that! Enjoy~
Meet Jenn! Jenn will be having her baby Jackson any day now, I’m glad we were able to get her maternity shoot in before the big day. Jenn’s husband Steve wasn’t able to join us because he’s recovering from very serious injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash in December, keep their little family in your thoughts and prayers. I’m absolutely certain Steve will love these! Jenn– you look beautiful :)
Last weekend my daughter and I were looking through our family photo albums and it made me realize I’ve been neglecting photographing my little ones, bad mommy! I have this OCD thing about wanting pictures of all four of them but the logistics of that are just so hard with the big ones getting older. Truth be told I have a million pictures of the two older ones together when they were little, why not the younger ones! I’m going to make a concerted effort to photograph them more often and catch that “littleness” day to day. So here are my babies Luke and Vaughn :)
This was such a fun maternity session! Amanda did a great job in picking out clothes so we had tons to choose from. My favorite thing though was just watching Adam and Amanda interacted, watching the way he looked at her. You can just feel how excited they are to meet their baby, as am I. The last shot with the onesies is something Amanda’s mom made for her shower, how cute is that??? Enjoy~
Meet adorable Cole! Cole was a little older than most of my newborns at three and a half weeks. This age can be tough because they are just too alert and unpredictable, but as you can see Cole bucked that trend and was a perfect gentleman. I always try to move around my schedule to fit last minute newborns in, I’m so glad we were able to make it work and get newborn style pictures of Cole along with those first sibling shots with his 2 year old big brother! Enjoy~
It’s hard to believe it but Cassel is a year old! I have photographed him every month starting from when he was a tiny 6 day old baby for the cover of his parents magazine– Inside SCV. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, (ok, he’s cried :) we’ve cuddled and goofed, and often he’s just looked at me like I’m nuts! I feel so blessed to have been able to watch this sweet baby and family grow. Cassel will be going to every three months for his second year, that’s if his mom and I can stand to wait that long. So pull up a chair and a box of tissues and enjoy Cassel’s first year:
Meet one year old Olivia, she officially has the best cheeks ever! Olivia’s aunt and uncle own Truly Dry carpet cleaning here in the SCV. While Olivia was here for her birthday photoshoot they thought they’d get some shots of her for their new print ads. Looks for Olivia, Truly Dry Carpet cleaning, and my puppy Louise in a magazine or newspaper near you :)
This shoot was sooooo much fun but way out of the box for me! Meet my adorable assistant Kerri. Kerri works behind the scenes here at Laurie Sachs Photography keeping things rolling and keeping my life sane, I couldn’t live without her! Kerri and Scott are getting married in October and I was thrilled to shoot their engagement pictures for them. Since I don’t take weddings I don’t photograph many couples, but heck this was fun! I wouldn’t let Kerri see these until they were all edited, I understand she’s been dying with anticipation. Sorry about the fire ants Scott! Scott plays the piano beautifully so we had fun incorporating that into our shoot. Here you go Kerri and Scott, enjoy :)
Recently the Santa Clarita Valley Photographer’s Association held it’s annual print competition. I am proud to announce this image of sweet little Nicholas won overall best in show!!! My framed print will be on display at City Hall this summer, I’ll keep you updated once it goes up!
Meet precious little Jordan! Jordan is the daughter of a dear friend of mine and I was so happy they made the trek out from Orange County for me to photograph her! Jordan made me work for every shot but she was so pretty one I got her posed it was well worth the effort :) Enjoy!
