Having a big family requires lots of love and infinite amounts of patience, but you know the one quality that will really carry the busy mother through? A sense of humor. Photographing my own family certainly requires a sense of humor… and maybe a few cocktails, it’s always an adventure! Photographing my baby planner Stella’s sweet family was an adventure too :) Mom Kate warned me two year old Max might not be on board with having pictures taken. I will admit he gave me a run for my money! In the end I think we got a few Christmas card worthy shots and plenty of outtakes I love! I just love it when babies come back and visit me, I’m always shocked at how much they’ve grown! You may remember gorgeous Jackson’s family from his shoot a year ago. He looks so different, and yet somehow the same. When photographing toddlers and young children I always try to catch a series of frames that really relay who they are right now. I adore what I captured of Jackson. So here they are, way too many but I couldn’t narrow it down :)
Meet 16 day old Rorri! Rorri came to the studio yesterday along with her sweet big sister Kalli. Kalli wasn’t entirely sure she wanted in on this photoshoot so we proceeded with just newborn photos of Rorri. It took me some time to get her to sleep but once Rorri was out, she was out! Right at the end we decided to give some sibling shots one more try and I’m so glad we did!!! Kalli could not have been cuter with her sister or more proud. Enjoy the sneak peek, much more to come…
It’s hard to believe little JD is graduating from my baby plan! He started with me at 10 weeks and we’re finishing up at 18 months. He’s been a joy to photograph, here’s a review of his year in pictures…
Today I got to photograph the cutest girls, meet Liv and Leila!!! I don’t think I’ve ever photographed a little girl in a tutu before and in the last week and a half I’ve had four, must me something in the water! I thought I’d show many of these images in black and white but all the pink and little Leila’s gorgeous hair… I just couldn’t do it. I’m partial to that papaya blond as two of my babies had it :) Leila is celebrating her first birthday and sweet Liv just turned three. Enjoy the sneak peek, much more to come…
