Yesterday I had Aidan and Allison in the studio for newborn pictures, aren’t they adorable??? These little sweethearts were so good for me. What a blessing!
I have about 100 photoshoots I haven’t blogged as of right now, my summer commitment is to put a dent in catching up and featuring all of the gorgeous babies, families, mamas and children who’ve visited me here at the studio. Let’s get this summer kicked off!
On a more personal note we’ve had a high school graduation, a 6th grade graduation, and two kids who will be moving out and off to college this summer. Big changes at the Sachs house and one emotional nostalgic mama over here! Blessings to you and yours for a wonderful summer together, I’m hoping to keep up with the blogging much more often!
Well, we’re halfway through 2016 and I haven’t blogged once! When life and business get busy my blog is sadly what suffers the most. I have so, so, many gorgeous babies, mamas, families, and children I would love to share! I’m going to try and get back in the swing of things, “try” being the operative word… we’ll see how it goes ;)
So what’s been up? I’ve been shooting a ton! Lots of families have been back to see me with new babies, back for follow up sessions, and referring friends, what a blessing. I’ve been lucky enough to meet so many new families this year too, Santa Clarita is still very much in a baby boom.
My kids are almost 19, 16, 12, and 9 now. They are a busy brood! This is the summer of college tours for my two oldest children. Sadly there’ll be no tropical vacation pictures to share, we’re calling university tours “family vacations”, so far my younger kids are falling for it! We’ve collectively been all over California and Northern Arizona, with trips coming up to Oregon, New York, New Jersey, and maybe Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
Since I’m blogging for the first time this year I figured why not go for a twofer and a three-fer (I’m sure that’s not a word?) Who doesn’t love twins are triplets??? No one, that’s who. Meet gorgeous twins Lillian and Layla, and beautiful triplets Ashley, Emily, and Elizabeth!
I’m just getting back into the swing of things after our family vacation! We had an amazing time visiting Cabo San Lucas with the family plus our son’s lovely girlfriend. We told him even though he’s a grown up now he has to come on family trips ;) , so glad we could all get away together! The only downside to vacationing? The mountains of laundry when you come home! Here’s some highlights~
It’s been a weird, exciting, emotional, sad, happy, hopeful, proud, crazy week around the Sachs household. Our oldest son Eric graduated from Valencia high school. Let me tell you something mamas, when people say your kids’ childhood goes in the blink of an eye THEY ARE NOT KIDDING. We are so proud of the young man he has grown into and so excited to see what his future holds, but I want to hold on to the little boy he was, I don’t think I’m ready for this. It feels like the end of an era, when our kids were all children. How are we old enough to be the parents of an adult??? My husband and I were 17 when we started dating, to see our oldest son going through the same milestones we shared is is bit surreal. So here is our Eric, from the first day of kindergarten to graduation day went in the blink of an eye. We love you son and we have been honored to be your parents.
I have so many shoots from Christmas I have yet to share (not to mention around 50 other shoots from last year), I figured I’d start with blogging my own family! Hands down, my kids are always my most challenging shoot of the year! This year I really wanted a great family picture as we are in a stage of transition with my oldest set to graduate from high school in May, sniffle, sniffle… where has the time gone??? I don’t feel old enough to be the mother of an adult, and yet that day is quickly approaching. So here we are- the Sachs family 2014, the kids are 17, 15, 10, and 7. These were shot in basically a ditch on the side of the road by my house in about 15 minutes, because that’s how it rolls when it’s your own family!
