I am so swamped this holiday season, I’ve had no time to blog at all! The plus side to that is I have tons of gorgeous families to share! There seems to be a baby boom going on in Santa Clarita too, I’ve had 8 newborns in the last month with that many more due over the holidays. I’ve heard the maternity ward is jumping right now, Laurie Sachs Photography certainly is!
This family I’ve shot with 5 times I think? Our first shoot was when little Stella was a newborn, she’s now in kindergarten! Mom wanted to do something different this time, she envisioned a dressy photo shoot down at the LACMA. We had an absolute blast at their session! I love watching my families grown and building relationships over the years.

I recently had a shoot for one of my vendors- Village Apparel! Such gorgeous garments, I hope I’ve done them justice. Each of these sweet pieces has newborn accessories to match, my big sisters will be dressed in style for their photo shoots too! Are these not the cutest little girls you’ve ever seen??? Working with a trio of three year olds was definitely entertaining, love them!
I’ve had the pleasure of getting outside to shoot several sessions recently, I love getting outside! While it is bone dry out there it’s actually been a pretty mild summer here in the Los Angeles basin and we haven’t had nearly as many days of extreme heat as we’d expect by August. The challenge has been searching out some green, go away drought, over you!
This gorgeous family has had 3 shoots with me over the years, love watching my little ones grow! My favorite types of family images are ones that show some personality, that capture the dynamics of a family’s love for one another. I think we achieved that here. Enjoy Charlotte and Oliver ~
Well these might be the cutest little girls EVAHHH. Meet gorgeous Morgan and Ashlyn! We had the best time at our shoot! Their mom found me online, but we quickly figured out we had people in common! I went to Saugus High School with their uncle in the 80’s, their cousin is a close friend of my daughter and teammate on the Valencia High School Dance team… small world SCV is! Spring is a great time to get out for outdoor portraits, so many gorgeous areas around town to shoot! If you are considering outdoor photographs get in touch right away, as we Santa Claritans know the heat is just around the corner and no one wants to be outside for a shoot between July and September! How about an outdoor session for today? This is my second time working with this awesome family, I photographed them just before Christmas. Their girls are so cute I can hardly stand it! So much fun, and so full of love, I adore family sessions like this one. I’m feeling the black and whites today, enjoy~
