I always love putting together my year end post, seeing all the gorgeous faces I photographed the previous year! 2016 was an amazing year at Laurie Sachs Photography, my 9th year in business. I’ve been so blessed by all of the clients that return to me year after year and refer their friends. So here it is, 2016! In 2017 I hope to blog regularly, I’ve missed sharing my work with all of you!

Well, we’re halfway through 2016 and I haven’t blogged once! When life and business get busy my blog is sadly what suffers the most. I have so, so, many gorgeous babies, mamas, families, and children I would love to share! I’m going to try and get back in the swing of things, “try” being the operative word… we’ll see how it goes ;)

So what’s been up? I’ve been shooting a ton! Lots of families have been back to see me with new babies, back for follow up sessions, and referring friends, what a blessing. I’ve been lucky enough to meet so many new families this year too, Santa Clarita is still very much in a baby boom.

My kids are almost 19, 16, 12, and 9 now. They are a busy brood! This is the summer of college tours for my two oldest children. Sadly there’ll be no tropical vacation pictures to share, we’re calling university tours “family vacations”, so far my younger kids are falling for it! We’ve collectively been all over California and Northern Arizona, with trips coming up to Oregon, New York, New Jersey, and maybe Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.

Since I’m blogging for the first time this year I figured why not go for a twofer and a three-fer (I’m sure that’s not a word?) Who doesn’t love twins are triplets??? No one, that’s who. Meet gorgeous twins Lillian and Layla, and beautiful triplets Ashley, Emily, and Elizabeth!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What an amazing year it’s been! When I look back, I am always humbled by all of the families that have entrusted me to capture their most precious memories. From the beginning I have been blessed as a business owner with unwavering support from our community, clients who freely sing my praises and send me their referrals, families who come back and see me year after year. This year I hit professional milestones photographing my 300th newborn baby, personal milestones when my oldest child graduated from high school and our family transitioned into this new stage with him, teaching another child to drive and sending her out on the road, traveling with my amazing husband and our kids, navigating 2nd and 5th grade with our little ones. Thank you for sharing this journey with me! I look forward to photographing your family in the coming year, but first a look back at 2015. Most of these sessions haven’t even hit the blog as I’ve been terribly behind, but here’s a little taste of 2015~

I am so swamped this holiday season, I’ve had no time to blog at all! The plus side to that is I have tons of gorgeous families to share! There seems to be a baby boom going on in Santa Clarita too, I’ve had 8 newborns in the last month with that many more due over the holidays. I’ve heard the maternity ward is jumping right now, Laurie Sachs Photography certainly is!

 

This family I’ve shot with 5 times I think? Our first shoot was when little Stella was a newborn, she’s now in kindergarten! Mom wanted to do something different this time, she envisioned a dressy photo shoot down at the LACMA. We had an absolute blast at their session! I have two remaining spots for mini sessions November 7th, and 2 spots for December 5th, and that’s it for weekend time slots for 2015! If you are interested in a mini session click here for info. I’ll also be booking some weekday morning mini sessions if that will work for your family, and I have outdoor timeslots available weekdays only.

In the meantime let’s enjoy some newborn goodness :) I was so honored to do a newborn session for one of my favorite people, my son’s beautiful teacher! She is such a kind, hard working, and dedicated soul, I am so excited to see her enter this new role as mommy. Meet her gorgeous boy Luka! Luka was super alert for our session, but so cooperative, and also ridiculously cute. Enjoy~
