So I told little Cruz’s mommy that I had not had a newborn boy in a while, he was breaking a streak. I just went back and counted, I’ve had 9 baby girls in a row! Clearly my blog is in dire need of some testosterone. So here he is, in all his gorgeousness, 7 day old Cruz. Cruz stayed awake for a while and let me get some great alert shots then fell into a deep sleep and let me pose him. Aside from a little poop and pee the perfect newborn session :) Enjoy the sneak peek, much more to come.

I have had some super adorable one year olds lately! I photographed all of these sweeties as newborns and in the last few weeks they were all back for birthday pictures. Enjoy Max, Cruz, Tyler, and Riley!

Today I got to photograph the most gorgeous family! This mom won a free session at the grand opening of Stork Vision of Valencia where she had her 4D ultrasound and last week her precious bundle finally arrived. Meet 9 day old Cruz and his lovely mom and dad. Cruz is truly the most handsome baby. All Cruz wanted to do was eat and only relaxed when he was nuzzled in my new peanut shell. Every shoot truly is different and you really have to follow the baby’s lead. Thankfully mom and dad were game for anything and were just so relaxed and easy with their new baby. Enjoy the sneak peek guys, much more to come…

This is the winning letter:

I am writing to nominate a friend of mine for your “Incredible Mom” contest.  Her name is Stephanie Cruz. She is an incredible mom, teacher, Sunday school group leader, friend and wife.  She has three adorable children and she works hard to make sure they are growing up to be wonderful people.  She is a teacher in the Saugus school district and is one of the valuable teachers waiting to see if she has a job next year with all the budget cuts.  Stephanie worked on her credential while being a mother to her three children.  She faces all the challenges that come her way with a calm and peaceful attitude. I was especially impressed the way she has dealt with her son. After finding that he was having a hard time at school, she set out to find out what was going on.  She never gave up and they have been able to find the problem and ways to work with it without any type of medications.  Throughout the process she said that this experience was going to help her be a better teacher to the children she has in her classes.  And that she would be better able to help the parents too.
Anyone that meets Stephanie is instantly comfortable, she puts everyone at ease.  I am hoping that she wins your contest because I know she would love having pictures of her family and with the uncertain times it would not be something she would be able to do.

Stephanie will receive a free photo session and mounted 11 x 14 print, and just because I have such a soft spot in my heart for good teachers I’m going to throw in an 8 x 10, two 5 x 7’s and a set of wallets so she can get a nice set of prints of her family at no out of pocket expense. I so look forward to taking your family pictures Stephanie and your kids are so cute one might think they were ringers! Happy Mother’s day one and all, the hard work we all put in to raising our families does not go unnoticed.
