My daughter and nieces are all competitive dancers here in town at Studio 1 Dance Academy, they LOVE to dance and we as their moms love to watch them dance. It’s super fun having a dozen kids all growing up so closely as my kids, nieces, and nephews are. These three- my Julia-13, my niece Dallas- 14, and my niece Brenna-15 have been photographed together (often in matching outfits :) ) since they were toddlers. I decided to try something new and take dance portraits of the three, we had so much fun and I loved capturing this unique time in their lives. Recently I had the privilege of photographing a very special little girl named Kylee through the charity organization Inspiration Through Art. Kylee suffers from mitochondrial disorder which causes a complex multitude of health ailments. Kylee has a feeding and a drainage tube and wears a little backpack that holds her nourishment. She has a hard time tolerating heat and cold so we did her session here in my studio. Kylee’s siblings all suffer from mitochondrial disorder in varying degrees but Kylee is the most severely affected. Kylee was back in the hospital just after our session. While I hear she is doing well I hope you’ll join me in prayer and well wishes for her continued recovery.

 

This will be a first for me, I have never offered mini sessions! I have finally come to the realization that I am only one person and I have to find a way to streamline to accommodate all of the clients wanting holiday card sessions. It will be considerably less expensive for you and faster for me, more amazing pictures of more amazing clients. So here they are, my brand new once a year only mini sessions:

 

*** $499 includes sitting fee, your choice of 5 full resolution digital files, and 25 double sided 5 x 7 flat Christmas cards  with the option to add on additional cards, digital files, and products at a discount.

*** Sessions will be held Saturday November 12th and Saturday December 3rd, sessions will be 20-30 minutes here at the studio. All sessions will be shot on gray and white backgrounds. Due to the length of the sessions individual shots of family members, props, extended families, and newborns are excluded. Wardrobe should be kept very simple to insure the focus is on your family connection. Please e-mail me as soon as possible to book, spaces are limited.

It’s that time of year again, dance show season! Every year I photograph the Valencia High School varsity dance team for their big year end show. This year’s show will take place April 29th and 30th, come on out and support our national championship high school team. We’ll be there with bells on to watch all of the amazing dancers of the Santa Clarita Valley including of course my lovely daughter who dances for Studio 1 dance academy as well as the Waves Jr High All Stars!
