I have the most excit­ing news to share!!! The Pro­fes­sional Pho­tog­ra­phers of Amer­ica and the Pro­fes­sional Pho­tog­ra­phers of Cal­i­for­nia released com­pe­ti­tion results this week. I am super proud and hum­bled to share that I’ve been named the 2012 CALIFORNIA FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!! I am also the recip­i­ent of the Fuji Mas­ter­piece Award for the state of Cal­i­for­nia. The com­bined scores of the four images I sub­mit­ted ranked in the top 20 for the West­ern Dis­trict of the PPA and in the top 10 for the state of Cal­i­for­nia. My image of lit­tle Freja with big sis­ter Isabel was the big win­ner. Cas­sidy and Jake in the heart also received a merit and will be mov­ing on to inter­na­tional com­pe­ti­tion. The Glover fam­ily smooching and sweet lit­tle Cassie rounded out my entries for this year. My images will hang at Pro Photo Expo in Pasadena in August and I’ll have some snazzy new plaques and tro­phies for my office :)
