I am so, so far behind on blogging sessions, but I’ve got to start somewhere! How about some gorgeous babies? This was super fun, Erin and Kelli have been best friends since childhood and they were both expecting their first babies, a week apart! Meet Little Joey and Maddie, sure to be BFF’s just like their moms. Enjoy~

Meet gorgeous 10 day old Charlotte! What a sweetheart, she had lots of little smiles for me and I’m in love with her sweet head of hair. Enjoy~

This is a very special newborn session, one it seems like I waited forever for! Meet my friend Janet and her lovely family. Janet’s son Zack was premature, born at just 31 weeks gestation. He is a happy and healthy boy now but spent months in the NICU and has suffered many health effects related to his prematurity. Last year Janet became pregnant again but her little girl Corrine was born at just 23 weeks, too early to survive. Corrine lived for just 30 minutes. You can imagine the excitement and panic when Janet realized she was pregnant again, with fraternal twins! Every week we all counted down, it was a long and scary road. There were months of bedrest, weeks of hospitalization, medical procedures to try and maintain the pregnancy. We all breathed a sigh of relief when she passed the week she lost Corrine, another when she reached 28 weeks and survival rates went up, another when she passed Zack’s gestation! Every week Janet’s friends got a bit giddier, how far could she go? By sheer will and determination and some amazing medical care the girl made it 37 weeks, delivering FULL TERM HEALTHY TWINS. Last week when we shot the twins newborn session several times we all just stepped back to look at them and cried… and now I’m crying again. What a miracle to watch unfold. A cause that is near and dear to Janet’s heart is the March of Dimes, doing the hard work everyday to prevent prematurity and support the families of premature babies. If you are so inclined please click on through and support the March of Dimes, every little bit counts.
You may remember Jackson’s pretty mom from her maternity session a few months ago. Well her little man arrived right on schedule. Jackson is just gorgeous and a joy to those around him! We continue to pray for a speedy recovery for Jackson’s dad who was critically injured in a motorcycle accident last December. He continues to improve and hopes are he can return home to his family very soon.
Meet gorgeous Briannah! The streak continues of perfectly behaved older newborns as Briannah was nearly 4 weeks old. Babies this age can be rough but go figure, I’ve had three great ones in a row. Briannah brought her three big brothers with her, boys I happen to have known since they were preschoolers. You can see in the pictures how in love they are with their little sister, what a lucky girl. Enjoy~
Meet 4 week old Nathan, isn’t he gorgeous? 4 weeks can sure be a rough and unpredictable age to photograph a baby. I always preface my families of older newborns that we may not get as much variety, it may be difficult, they may not curl up and let me pose them. Nathan apparently didn’t get that memo and was a perfect angel for me! I actually had two 4 week olds this week and they were both dolls, go figure :) That being said if at all possible please contact me for newborn photography before your baby is born or as soon as possible after. I typically like to photograph them between 5 and 10 days old to insure our shoot goes as smoothly as possible. Enjoy Nathan~
