12 day old Sophia came for her newborn pictures today. She was so sweet and calm, just not so much a sleeper. Mom and Dad assured me she sleeps all day at home, just not so much today! Isn’t that how it goes? As soon as we think we have them figured out they change everything on us. For 2 hours Sophia stayed awake while we fed her, rubbed her eye brows tried every trick. Finally she decided to sleep and boy was she out! We were able to have a little hat fashion show and she was a perfect model. Enjoy the sneak peek, much more to come…

Or maybe summer of screaming tantrums? I took my kids out yesterday for some new pictures of the four of them as summer is so quickly winding down and to commemorate my oldest’s 13th birthday (Happy Birthday Eric, you are one fantastic kid!) I’ve been wanting to take them over to Billy’s surf shop in Newhall to get some pictures in front of their super cool wall. My littlest makes taking pictures so unbelievably miserable it’s actually comical. He flails, screams, runs away while the other kids try their darnedest to keep it together. I have never had a client’s child behave as badly as my own, my happy, joyful boy turns into a belligerent little gremlin as soon as I try and get him to stand with his brothers and sister. Somehow I always seem to get an amazing shot of them but boy do I pay for it, really they could drive a girl to drink. So here’s “the shot” and some outtakes to show you what photographing them is really like :)

Today Brady was back for his birthday pictures! It’s hard to believe it’s been a whole year since his newborn shoot. Brady’s mom was a little worried he might be shy but he warmed up to be in no time :) The last picture absolutely cracks me up, that’s Brady’s “are we done yet???” Enjoy the sneak peek, much more to come…

You may remember Cassel from his newborn photoshoot, today he was back for some 2 month shots. 2 months may be the very hardest age to capture because babies this age are just, well, unpredictable! My shoot with Cassel was brief but just look at all the great expressions he gave me! I think Cassel is a little ladies man in the making, what a shameless flirt :) Oh, and this little christening tuxedo was made for Cassel by hand so obviously it had to be featured. Even pouty Cassel is adorable! Enjoy the sneak peek, much more to come…

Today Riley was back for her 6 month pictures, make that 7 and a half months… her mommy wanted her sitting up well :) You may remember Riley from her newborn and 3 month photoshoots. We had a great time trying to get her to sit up and catching her little personality. Apparently sitting in a basket with a silly hat is hilarious! Enjoy the sneak peek, much more to come…

If you know me well or follow my blog you know I DON’T take weddings :) The exception is when my dear friend Angie of Illuminescence Photography in Pasadena asks for back up. We had a fabulous time capturing the marriage on Frank and Siu at the Langham in Pasadena. It was a beautiful venue, wonderful people, gorgeous day. Here’s a few highlights…
