Meet the ladies, and gentleman, of the Valencia High School Dance Team! What a spectacular group of talented and bright young people. They have their big dance show coming up this Spring and needed headshots for their program and to display on the gym wall. I was happy to oblige and truly, they made my job so easy. Announcing my first blog contest! I want to hear about the incredible moms in your life- your mothers, wives, sisters, friends, anyone that you think is an incredible mom. Send an e-mail to: laurie@lauriesachsphotography.com telling me why this mom is deserving of a free photo session and free mounted 11 x 14 print, and include a photo with your submission. Grandmothers, expectant mothers, step mothers, they all count too! A winner will be picked by April 30th and the letters that touch the hearts of my sappy panel of mommy judges will be posted on my blog along with the photo of the winning mom. The only stipulation is that this mom must be available for a photo shoot in the Santa Clarita Valley during the month of May, and must appear in the photos. Here are some of the beautiful moms I have been lucky enough to know and photograph, and I threw in an outtake with some of the amazing moms in my life that inspire and amaze me everyday- love you!

Today I got to shoot some business headshots! This lovely lady is Lisa, the owner and operator of Stork Vision of Valencia and a registered diagnostic medical sonographer. (say that 5 times fast!) At Stork Vision she provides expectant moms with the most amazing sneak peek of their babies in a family friendly, non-clinical setting. Lisa will be writing some editorials for Santa Clarita Magazine and needed some headshots to accompany her article. Meet Kirsten and Tyler! Don’t let their sweet smiles fool you, these two gave me a run for my money. How can you be this cute and this uncomfortable on camera at the same time? Such an exciting year, finishing high school, getting ready to go of to college, wow do they have fun stuff ahead of them! I hope after Kirsten sees these she will tell me I was right about how beautiful she is! :)
